| A Summer In the Country Chapter 9/10: Revenge Rating: NC-17 Summary: A hurt and angry Annette plots to bring the step siblings down. The following morning Annette left for breakfast with a renewed attitude. She was done with crying and feeling sorry for herself. No it was time to take back what was hers. Sebastian and his twisted step sister had taken her pride and dignity and it was time to get it back. She would have her revenge. She hadn't forgotten his earlier threat and was curious if he would in fact tell everyone that he slept with her. She really didn't care what others thought about her but her father on the other hand was a different story. He was a very religious old fashion type man who expected his only child to wait until she was married before having sex. She didn't want to think about what he would do if he found out she broke her promise. Annette wondered if her plan did indeed work if Sebastian would really follow through on his threat. She felt like an idiot for never noticing it before. Staring at Kathryn's fake smile and knowing it was all bullshit pissed Annette off more and more. She decided she would play a little game of her own by trying to trip Kathryn up. Turning to her Annette said with a smile "hey I forgot to tell you there was one student activity I am planning on participating in." "What's that?" "I'm thinking of running for student body president." The smile quickly vanished from Kathryn's face and a flicker of rage came across her pretty face. Sebastian just watched Annette with curiosity trying to figure out where this was all going. Finally Kathryn spoke in a cold tone "I'm student body president." It would be fun plus it would be a great way to meet people." Mrs. Rosemond smiled "oh I think that's a great idea! Don't you agree Kathryn?" Oh course not. Now if you'll excuse me I have some things I need to do. I'll see you later Annette." She then got up and all but stomped into the house. As Annette watched her walk away she could tell Kathryn was very pissed. The truth was she really had no intention before of running for president but now that she knew exactly what kind of person Kathryn was she thought why not? Kathryn certainly didn't deserve to be running the school. Sebastian shook his head slightly as Kathryn left and muttered "poor Kathryn." "Why do you say that?" Annette asked. He gave her a fake smile "well believe it or not my sister is quite competitive. I think your announcement just through her." "Well its not like I won yet." Annette was awaken from her thoughts when Mrs. Rosemond leaned over and said "its all set. They'll be here later today." "That's great" Annette smiled. "This is a really wonderful thing your doing for them. Sebastian and Kathryn will be so surprised. I hope they appreciate all the effort you put into this." Annette could tell he was trying to tell if she knew anything and it amused her. Finally he said "if I were you I would forget all about this stupid election or else daddy might be getting an earful about what his darling daughter has been up to this summer." Sebastian then smiled at her and grabbed an apple and left. Annette shook her head at his arrogance. Any doubts about getting revenge on him had quickly fallen away. In a short time she would get up and make her speech about why she was the best candidate for the student body president. At first it seemed like there was no way in hell she would win but in her short time at Manchester she was become quite popular. Not as popular as Kathryn but enough people knew about her and liked her so she should have a fair chance. Kathryn, god she had been dreading seeing her all week. Although she had heard that she had returned she had yet to see her and for that she was grateful. The last thing she wanted was to cause a scene with that witch. Especially when she discovered she was dating her ex boyfriend. Yes shortly after her departure her and Court had met up at a party and got to talking. They found they had a lot in common, specifically there hatred of the Valmont siblings. Annette never told him why she hated they exactly and he never asked. It was something they shared though along with many other things. Annette spotted him in the second row and he smiled proudly up at her. Dating Court would also help her chances of being elected not that, that was why she was seeing him. As Annette looked over to her side she noticed her father chatting happily with some one. She couldn't tell from the back who it was but as she turned around she saw that it was clearly Kathryn. The sweet smile never left her face as she took a seat next to Annette. Annette only glared at her waiting for her to make the first move. "Hello Anntte, how was your summer?" Annette gave her a fake smile "oh it was fine. Did you enjoy France?" Kathryn's face remained in an eerily happy manner "not in the slightest. I hope you didn't forget my promise to you." She recalled immediately what she was talking about "no I haven't." The smile dropped from her face and she said "good." Then just as quickly as it disappeared it reappeared and she told her "good luck." Before Annette could respond her father began to speak. He gave a small speech on the importance of school elections and then announced Kathryn as the first speaker. Annette expected there to be a lot of applause but she didn't expect the reception she got. Everyone all but stood up and gave her a standing ovation as if she was some sort of royalty. There were lots of yells and whistles from guys in the crowed. About the only person who wasn't applauding was Court who only glared at his ex. Kathryn went on to give a speech that in Annette's opinion was complete bullshit. It was all about school spirit and a bunch of other nonsense that the crowed just seemed to eat up. After she finished the room once again erupted in applause and cheers with several people standing up. Kathryn smiled sweetly and walked off the stage to the back of the room. Annette hated public speaking but she found she had a sudden adrenaline rush especially when she was applauded. Not nearly as much as Kathryn but enough. "I have always believed myself to be a person of strong morals and ethics. As student body president I believe it is important to put the needs of others before myself. As Annette spoke she suddenly became aware of a familiar voice speaking along with her. At first she thought it was in the crowd until she heard the words "I need something." Those words, they were so familiar. She was quiet as she realized the voice was her own and it was coming from behind her. Slowly she turned around and came face to face with herself. Annette really believed in that instant her heat stopped. On the large monitor behind her was a video of her and Sebastian. Good god she thought, it was them having sex.
