I enclose additional evidence
in the Pension claim of Elizabeth
Mursh, and a supplemental declaration
in relation to the manner of her first
marriage, and reasons for second
marriage. This claim turns on the
legality of the first marriage. You
having heretofore doubted it’s legality
because the parties submitted to a
second marriage in 1798. Mrs.
Mursh had an excellent Family Register,
which is filled with the other evidence
in the claim, proved by W.E. White
Esq., a gentleman of high character
with whom I am personally acquainted,
and also by Edward Smith, that it is
in the handwriting of Robert Mursh,
the husband. These witnesses are
unimpeachable. Mrs. Marsh made
her declaration before W.J. Clawson
