The undersigned subscribers behave
in a respectful manner, to introduce to the secretary
for reconsideration, the case of the Rev. Robert
Mursh, an old (Revolutionary Soldier) who,
as appears by a late notification-from years de-
partment has been stricken from the list
of pentiory. The undersigned feel persuaded
that this measure has originated from some
mis-statement, or for want of a proper & distinct
knowledge of the circumstances of Rev. Mursh:
& not from a cold indifference to the Just
claims of those, who stood foremost in battle
when defending our all; and they there for avail
themselves of the liberty in fulfilling a duty to the
district & of laying before the department a
plain untarnished statement of the circumstances
