named do hereby certify that I have the most satisfactory
evidence from my own personal knowledge that
Elizabeth Mursh who has this day appeared before me
to take the oath of identity as being the widow of Robert
Mursh dec’d, who is named in the certificate which has been
exhibited to me and bearing date at the War Office
The Fifth day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred
and Nineteen, and signed by JC Calhoun Secretary
Of War.

Mursh, own house in said State and District
on the Fourteenth day of February One Thousand

Of the United States do hereby constitute and appoint Edward
Smith my true and lawful Attorney for me and in my
name to receive from the Agent of the United States for paying

and Thirty Seven to the Fourth of March next ensuing
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Two. Witness
