The following revised set of forms having been established at the

Treasury Department of the United States, for the future govern-

ment of it’s Agents in paying the United States Pensioners:  and

instructions having been issued, that all Vouchers not made out

in strict conformity thereto, will be rejected at that Depart-

ment.  Notice is hereby given to the Pensioners, on the Roll of

the South-Carolina Agency, that in all cases, the subjoined Forms

must be rigidly and literally adhered to, and that the order of

the several documents composing the perfect Voucher, must be

uniform, to facilitate their investigation.  Printed blanks for

the purpose, will always be furnished, at the Bank, on applic-

tion being made for them.

THE following order will be observed in the several Documents

composing the Voucher.

            Be it known, that before me, James Mckee a Justice of the

Peace, in and for the District aforesaid, personally appeared

Robert Mursh and made oath, in due form of law that he is the

identical Robert Mursh, named in an original certificate in his

possession, of which (I certify) the following is a true copy:

I certify that in conformity with the Law of the United

States of the 18th of March 1818—Robert Mursh late a private

in the Army of the Revolution is inscribed on the

Pension list Roll of the South Carolina Agency at

the rate of eight dollars per month to commence on the

Seventeenth day of August One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen.

Entitled to a pension of 8 dollars per month, on account of wounds

and disabilities received, or of services rendered to the United

States during the Revolutionary War, that he served in Captain

Moselys, Company of Continental Co. in the Virginia

Regiment; that he now resides in York District S. Carolina and has

resided there for the space of 5 years past:  and that previous

thereto, he resided in Lancaster District So. Carolina and

in Virginia Sworn and Subscribed this Ninth

Note—The above deposition must be signed by the Deponent.

This blank must be filled with the amount to which the pensioner

is now entitled, which in some cases varies from that in the

original certificate.
