| Kit: Revell-Monogram Pros: Excellent engine and chassis detail, the interior was spot on, great body proportions, this was an overall excellent model... Cons: None that I could find, or that were really glaring... I built this model to represent a 2007 Corvette in the new Atomic Orange color. There were minor difference between '07 and other years of the C6, mostly internal. The only modification I had to make was substituting the steering wheel from the 2006 Z06 kit to bring it up to snuff. The paint is Testors new one shot lacquer "Firey Orange" which was excellent to work with. It laid down smooth and even over Tamiya White Primer, and TS-13 Clear worked with it. I was able to get the body painted and cleared in about an hour, the fastest I have ever done a body. The only other modifications I made from box stock were Ken's fuzzi fur on the florboards and drilled brakes to represent the cross drilled rotors. |

| The engine was built straight from the kit, no modification. Paint detailing and kit decals on the covers really makes it stand out though. Next time I will probably wire it some more and add my usual dipsticks and other small items I didn't add this time out of laziness. | |||||||||||||||||||
| On the underside, I detailed the chassis according to factory photos. Most everything here was painted either flat black or aluminum metalizer. I heat stanined the exhausts with Tamiya clear orange and black and gray pastel chalks. I also sanded the tire treads for a driven on look. | |||||||||||||||||||

And a shot from over the rear. This one does not have the body colored door handle option, hence the black locks. The taillights were backed with bare metal foil to heighten their reflectivity, and a photoetch licence plate holder was added from Pro-Tec. One of the nicest touches was the aluminum exhaust tips, kudos to Revell for adding these items in all of their recent kits! | ||||||||||||||||||
