Speedy Buggy

Speed Buggy featured three wacky teenagers whose means of transportation was a remote controlled, rust-colored dune buggy named Speed Buggy. Speed Buggy had two eyes for headlights, a mouth for a grill, and a heart of chrome.

Meddling kids in their own right, the scary cat Tinker, the leader of the group Mark, and the pretty and smart Debbie would cruise around in Speed Buggy, looking for adventure and getting themselves into and out of trouble, all the while solving mysteries.

Speed Buggy was another rating winner for Hanna-Barbera, airing on and off for ten years on each of the three major networks. Speed himself also made guest appearances on Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics and in an episode of  The New Scooby Doo Movies.

The Villains.Some critics say that Speed Buggy was made a la Scooby Doo.  But I totally disagree. I think that it was more like Speed Racer but with a talking car and with 3 teenagers that solved mysteries.  It was very rare that you can see monsters or ghosts that turned out to be villains in bad Halloween costumes that were later unmask.

Not to mention that most of the villains or bad guys were just mad scientists or criminals that were already too ugly to need a costume =). In the picture of the right, you can see some of the those villains.
