| I have been doing the diet a lot better recently. In July on the 16th my husband rushed me to the hospital. I had a miscarriage. I didn't even know I was pregnant. See in May I didn't have my period and took a home test which came back negative then in June I had 3 days of spotting and went to the DR for a test and it came back negative. Now the end of June and begining of July I was bleeding really heavy...............changed pads every 10 min (soaked), then I got bad abdominal pains. At the hospital I found out that I had had a miscarriage. On top of that I also got a cyst on my ovary. And you women know what a pain those can be when you have them. I was in the hospital overnight then released with pain medicine (which I mde sure did not have aspartame in it) and also told to rest. I cried on the way home and my husband was so great and supportive. It hurts him too I know. But he worried more about me. He told me that the good part about this is is that I can continue to bring y levels down. That it will happen we just have to give it time. I know the ER doctor told me that I had the miscarriage because of stress and the cyst causing me to bleed, but I still feel the GOD know that is wasn't the right time yet for me to have a baby for my levels aren't whre they should be yet after just starting the maternal PKU. That whole experience has helped me to be more strict with myself with this diet and not stress over it as much. here is nothing more important than having a healthy baby. Though this diet can be trying......and I;m hoping that whn the time comes and I can get pregnant, how this formula will be with being pregnant, if it will make me sick to my stomach.........I already don't lik it LOL. Well......That is my story. I will be sure to send a picture once I've Successfully had a baby thru maternal PKU.
