Coach Scott Brown begins his 2nd year at the helm of the Cortland Apples. His 2000 team posted a 25-15 overall record in 2000 and a regular season eastern division title. A former Cortland Apple who played three years with the Cortland State Red Dragons. While with the Dragons, Brown earned second team Division III AllAmerica honors in 1999 after posting a 9-1 record with a 2.03 ERA. His 19 victories from 1997-99 are tied fourth on Cortland's career charts and his .792 winning percentage (19-5) is the eighth best in Cortland history. The Liverpool, NY native earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Cortland in 2000 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management. He is currently an assistant coach at Cortland State where his areas of focus are working with the pitchers, recruiting, and field maintenance. |

Coach Larry Williams begins his first year as an assistant for the apples. A four year letterwinner for Cortland State and a three year starter at shortstop for the red dragons, he leaves behind a stellar career. He was named the All-SUNYAC shortstop for three consecutive years while also being named to the all regional tournament team twice and all-world series team once. In 1999, he was named the MVP of the New York regional tournament after hitting .421 in the tournament. Larry ranks as one of the best offensive players on Cortland's career list but is categorized as the best defensive infielder to don a Cortland uniform. Originally from New Hartford, NY, he is working on a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland. |
