| Performance exhaust systems or backboxes are one of the first tuning mods for many modifiers. This is most likely due to the nice loud roar that most produce, despite not really giving much increase in power. |

| AIR FILTERS AND INDUCTION KITS |
| A good quality direct replacement panel filter such as the K&N one can improve throttle response, but only slightly. A full induction kit will improve the response much better due to the fact that the air passes straight into the filter and doesnt have to make its way through plastic pipes before reaching the filter. With the induction kit, more cool air can enter faster, improving performance, and gives the car a nice roar! |
| Other mods in the engine area can include performance chips, cams, power boost valves, turbos, full engine transplants and nitrous! One thing to remember though is that although big wheels look great, they will also slow your acceleration. |
