CL: You guys are from Bee Ville, Texas. What is the competition as far as local music goes?
NOTE: Quoted from Garage Band. "Being from a small town like Bee Ville, hick population and country/tejano only clubs there's really no where to play. Has that local scene really held you back from being more than what you guys are now? If so, what are you guys doing to change that?
FTM: Dwill : It may have slowed us down in the beginning, in reality, IT HASN'T HELD US BACK @ ALL...
CL: How is the audience reacting to the band? (Live shows as well as internet fans)
FTM: Dwill: The Live shows usually end with someone getting hurt [the crowds get a bit crazy] & the Internet fans SEEM to be digging what we're doing... So Far SO GOOD!!!
CL: How many songs do you guys have recorded & on cd or demo available?
FTM: Dwill: To fuckin' many... somewhere between 50 & 100...over the past 6 years.... lots of demos!!! We recently released a 3-track DEMO -SINGLE for the "scar song" on our INDIE LABEL FTM RECORDS... then, we also have a DEBUT DEMO FULL-LENGTH ALBUM "SURSUM CORDA" ... which has like 11 tracks on it... but no drummer, we were having difficulties in the band with our drummer & so the band w/ ex-guitarist NADA Programmed the entire thing... & Back in late '03 we recorded a 3-song demo with our DRUMMER..so we have many different sounds & styles now...& a good arsenal of music...
CL: Are you guys looking for record labels right now?
FTM: Dwill: We're Definatley "LOOKING FOR SOMETHING" in the words of Skinny Puppy... Whatever that SOMETHING IS... probably something self-sustaining...
CL: I see FTM has a lot of fans and everywhere on the internet, are you guys ever worried about being apart of the "Mainstream" one day?
FTM: Dwill: Honestly, Not @ all....
CL: Sound wise, have you been compared to any bands?
FTM: Dwill: Ummmmm, yeah we used to hear things we started out like "that's kinda SEPULTURA-ish or SLAYER-ish..." Then, later on someones said " reminds me of something NAIL's would do... or MINISTRY..."
which is VERY FLATERING Considering WE LISTEN to THOSE BANDS!!! but, WE're REALLY NOT LIKE ANY OF THOSE BANDS ..WE Preffer to think our MUSIC STANDS OUT ON ITS OWN...
CL: Carrie this is for you. On My Space, it says you do the writing for FTM. What helps you be creative to come up with the music?
FTM: KareBear: There are a number of things that inspire me to create music,Life experiences whether they be good or bad or even super-natural...My band members...& last not least all our fans who been VERY good to us..
CL: Do you guys plan on doing shows just here in TX or plan on making tours everywhere?
FTM: Dwill: Naaaaaaa, Tx is NICE & all .... but Not here FOREVER ONLY!!! Tours are DEFINATELY something we are interested & planning on doing sometime...which we haven't actually done quite yet... Ours goals defiantely GLOBAL..
CL: Who are some bands you get to play with when you have shows & how was that experience?
FTM: Dwill: Well, We got our start opening for the BIG LOCAL BAND back then FULL SCALE RIOT, which was great!!! We used to play shows with ours friends bands in high school Feeling Zero & Lacerate back in '01...Other bands across TEXAS soon followed...We used to play Corpus Christi a whole lot back in '02-'03 namely with Twitch [portland], Wicked Red {corpus] & HOLLOW CREW [bad-ass band].. Last, Oct, we were honored enough to get the chance to play with DR. Chud's X-ward [former drummer to the MISFITS solo projekt]...Real, cool guys & gals , They seemed to dig us as much as we dug them!!!
CL: Any good/bad experiences with shows care to share?
FTM: Dwill: CINCO BE MAYO back in '03 The City of Beeville asked FTM to play @ the Colliseum ...Which ended with us getting shut down by the BPD 3 songs into our set....FOR PROFANITY!!!???
CL: In the venues that you have played, what is your best place to play?
FTM: Dwill: ummm We were here in SA @ BOND 007 last MAY It's nice Venue...Good sound & lights... ATOMIX is Ok... The DTR in ALICE, tx is NICE but no MONITORS... Lets see how the EMPORIUM Squares off...
CL: In about 3 years, where do you see FTM being?
FTM: BAND: ALot MORE PALCES THEN IT IS NOW!!!
CL: I see FTM has a show in Apr here in SA, have you guys played here before? If so, what was the reaction to the crowd after playing for them? If not, what reaction you hoping for when playing here?
