Gunned down: James Smartt-Ford
Bereaved families of teenagers killed in gun and knife attacks have met with city leaders.
Among those invited to City Hall were the parents of murdered teen James Smartt-Ford gunned down at the Streatham Ice Arena on February 3 last year.
The former Carshalton College student managed to stagger a few meters onto the ice before he collapsed.
The meeting was called to find ways of ending teen violence.
But Ray Lewis, deputy mayor for young people, warned that there was no "magic solution" to violent crime.
He said community leaders must tackle the roots of aggression by examining why young men and women are growing up angry and disengaged.

Mr Lewis added: "These horrific crimes devastate families and we need to all work together on the necessary ways to treat the profound contempt for society and lack of self-respect that has alarmingly developed in some of our young people."
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair revealed on Thursday that more than 4,000 people have been searched as part of a blitz on knife crime.
His officers are using metal detector arches and hand-held scanners in operations across the city aimed at getting knives off the streets.
On his election earlier this month, Mayor Boris Johnson said dealing with knife crime was one of his top priorities.
Kit Malthouse, deputy mayor for policing, said: "The long-term solutions to youth crime are complex and will require a wholesale cultural shift."

Deputy Mayor Malthouse is absolutely correct. This phenom of youth on youth violence in now world-wide. Just last weekend a pack of young men went on a rampage in Harlem, attacking other young people attending church bar-b-ques, riding bikes teen nude art and enjoying the beautiful day with family and friends. What is it teen girly porn going to take to unite against this common thread of "gang style" violence. Everybody wants to be deadly. So give them what they want and mandatorily draft them into service. At least they all get a chance to know what death really means, by protecting their lives outside of the communities they live in...allowing for "the wholesale cultural shift" to be dealt with in one generation. Die for the love of your country not for the hate of colors. Life is only for a moment, death is for eternity...the dead do not remember the dead. How do you mcdonalds manager teen assult want to live? How to you want to be remembered?
