"Then the LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with Moses, as he called upon the name of the LORD. Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "the LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and truth, who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished ..."  Exodus 34: 5-7

The Lord had called Moses up to the top of Mount Sinai, to Him, to replace the two tablets of the Law.  Note that it is the LORD, Himself, who proclaims He is the LORD (Jehovah, Self-Existent) God (Elohim, Creator), compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness (mercy) and truth, who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished ... . Then the covenant with His people was renewed this day.

What an Awesome God we have the honor to serve!

For He is compassionate, look at what He saved you from, your sin; and now you're a new creation.

He is gracious, it is His grace that saved you through faith (Eph. 2:8).

And He is slow to anger, and aren't you glad?  In His longsuffering you were able to come to a saving knowledge of Him before His return and His wrath to come.

He abounds in lovingkindness and truth.   It was His lovingkindness that kept Him on the Cross at Calvary and it is His truth that sets men free.

It is He who saved us from our sin and we can rest in knowing that He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; remember vengeance is His.

He's coming back soon.  Are you ready for His return?  If you've blown it in your walk, turn and confess it to Him who is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and truth.  Allow Him to forgive you of your sin and renew your walk with Him.  He's waiting and He's worth your time.
