GOLDEN PEACE

Lord, fill me with Your golden peace,
Wildflowers and thistledown fleece,
Your bright blue skies and trees so red,
And paths where purple asters spread.

To Your golden altar I will go;
Through silken, soft leaves, I will toe
Where scarlet maples lace the sky
And mountains reach above my eye.

Lord, fill me with the blithesome air,
The golds and reds just everywhere.
And I will follow the nomad bee
Where flowers bloom in ecstasy.

I'll travel to the golden peace
And watch the flight of many geese.
This autumn day, so bright and fair,
When trees hold gold within their hair.
