God's will for us is to give thanks in everything. Through out Scripture we see again and again "give thanks to the LORD ..." And we truly have alot to be thankful for, beloved. For while we where still sinners Christ came to deliver us from our sin (2 Cor. 5:21); in Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of HIS grace, which HE lavished upon us. (Eph. 1:7,8a)

Knowing this truth and placing it in our hearts should, in itself, be enough. But, God is full of grace and mercy and He has placed us in a country where we are free to meet openly and worship Him. And let's not forget to add all the nice "little" things like highways, cars, homes, indoor plumbing, air conditioning, loving family and good friends to share this time of year with, to name a few. These too are apart of God's grace and mercy toward us; but remember, we must not forget, our real home is heaven.

How about you, beloved, what are you thankful for? Go ahead, make your own list and lay it out before your Heavenly Father and count your many blessings before Him; giving Him the thanks due Him. Be forewarned, you will walk away very blessed, full of His joy with an attitude of gratitude.
