Subject: Encouragement's From The Heart - November 24, 1998

I have loved to sing since I was a little girl.   But, somehow, as I grew older, I became very "self" aware and quit singing openly except in the school choir, where I could blend in with the many other faces and voices; but always the desire has remained to lift my voice in song.  

Giving my life fully  to Jesus, a little over four years ago, the desire resurfaced as I started writing again.  Only this time I must sing only to the glory of God, none other.  He has placed upon my heart the desire (It's not been easy, remember above) to help lead many in lifting their voices' in praise to His Awesome name; not to entertain the nations but to lift up our voices, in one accord, in praise and worship to HIS name.   

While praying the other night Psalm 57 came to mind so I turned their, "My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.  Awake, my soul!  Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.  I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of You among the peoples.  For great is Your love, reaching to the heavens;  Your faithfulness reaches the skies.  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth."  (Ps. 57:7-11)  

Is there a deep desire stirring in your soul crying to get out?  Seek the Lord and His direction, when He leads, be obedient to follow through seeking His will for His glory always; He takes us as we are to where and molds us, gently, into what He has created us to be.  Remember, He desires us to use our time, treasures and talents for the equipping of the church (body of believers) and the spreading of His Good News and He has given us His Spirit to do so.  

He is faithful and will carry you through.  Let Him be your source of strength.
