From: John & April Correia Subject: Encouragements From The Heart - September 21, 1998 Date: Monday, September 21, 1998 5:21 AM HAVE THIS ATTITUDE We are called to have this attitude, "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others." this attitude was also that of Jesus. He emptied and humbled Himself to the point of death (on the cross). Praise the Lord!, we now can rest in the knowledge that Jesus is LORD to the glory of the Father and it is He who is at work in us for His good pleasure. Think about it - He spoke and the world was. He could surely do anything without us - but - it is HIS pleasure to work in us to accomplish His will for us. This brings to mind Revelation 3:20 "behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and He will dine with Me." (dine with is to have fellowship with). Isn't our God Awesome!? He created us and yet desires to fellowship with - like a brother - the thought fills me with joy! What a way to start the day, fellowshipping with our Creator. May your day be joyous in our Lord!
