"Make a joyful shout to God,
all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; make His praise
glorious."
Psalm 66:1-2
Last Friday my friend, Nikki, came out with her
two beautiful daughters, Sarah (3) & Molly (5). While Nikki
and I were in the kitchen deep into talk about what the Lord was revealing in
our lives the discussion was interrupted by a most special event.
From another room we could hear Sarah singing out, while banging on the piano,
"Shout to the Lord, na na ... Shout to the Lord la la ..."
We looked at each other with big smiles - what a special blessing it was to
be aloud to listen to little Sarah sing her heart out to our Lord. More
importantly, what a delightful sound it was into the ears
of Jesus; I can just picture Him beaming with pleasure as He watched this
sincere pure heart shout out praises to His name.
Oh beloved, how He must beam every time
we take time out from our busy schedules to stop and joyfully shout
out a praise song or Psalm from our hearts; as sarah did from
hers. Our Lord's ear isn't listening to our physical sound. He
listens to the sincerity and purity of our hearts cry and we lift worship
and praise to Him.
May we walk around with praises of worship
to Him from our hearts and may we do it frequently.
