"I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right
hand I shall not be moved." Psalm 16:8
After reading the above verse the Lord lead me
to the following verses in Philippians, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say,
rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at
hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the
peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:4-7
NKJV) God is so Awesome! This is what He showed me to share with
you:
When we set Him before us, and choose to let
Him be Lord of our lives (not just our Savior), we rejoice in Him and what HE
has done in our lives.
When we set Him before us those around us see
HIS gentleness being made known to all (I like the way the Living Bible says
Phil. 4:5, "Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you
do"); in this world of selfishness and rudeness we'd really stick
out!
When we set the Lord before us we KNOW that
He's coming soon.
When we set the Lord before us we are not
anxious for anything, rather we lift our needs to Him through prayer, thanking
Him that He's answered (accepting HIS will in meeting our needs) and it
is His peace we rest in as our hearts and minds are guarded through Christ
Jesus.
Because the Lord is before us we can rest in
knowing that "He is at my right hand I shall not be moved." (Ps.
16:8b)
How about you? Have you set the Lord
before you? Do yourself a favor, say yes to Him as Lord and set Him before
you always.
Have a wonderful day in the
Lord!
April
