"Moses took his tent and pitched
it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of
meeting. ... And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle,
that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and
the LORD talked with Moses. All the
people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the
people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. The LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks
to his friend. ..."
Exodus 33: 7a, 9-11a
Do you have a tabernacle of meeting? I don't mean a
tent pitched. A special place where you go daily to meet with the
Lord; I use a room at the back of our house. This is a special place where
you can get away so that it's just you and Jesus, face to face; spiritually
speaking.
Though the pillar of cloud doesn't descend as it did for Moses,
the very presence of God comes to fellowship with us when we stop and take time
to worship Him, whether in prayer, song or Bible reading.
Jesus wants to meet with us face to face, as a man speaks to his
friend. Spending time daily with our Lord is not only refreshing it's a
necessity. Meeting with Him daily prepares us for the day ahead and
strengthens our relationship with Him so that when trials come, and they will
come beloved, we will be able to be still and listen to what He'd have us to
do.
Don't allow another day to go by, start now and let your family
know what your set time is for the Lord, and don't allow anything to interfere
with your time with Him. Who knows, maybe by them watching you go to your
tent of meeting, faithfully, they will worship Him too.
Have a joyous day in our
Lord!
