¹³In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
Ephesians 1:13-14

John, to my dear friends in Christ; in Ephesians 1:13-14 we have another promise from God. We who believe and have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. In the Old Testament the best the men of God could expect is the Holy Spirit to come upon them, but we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And because the Holy Spirit is also a seal of promise, God cannot take Him away as He did in the Old Testament. We forever have the Holy Spirit within us. Now you can't physically see, smell, or hear the Holy Spirit since He is a spirit being. But we can spiritually hear the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit acts as our Counselor and Teacher and can lead us in all things, we only need to have that desire to be lead and do what God asks us to do. We have something that is worth more than all the riches of the world, we have God's Holy Spirit within us. We are spiritually rich while the unbelieving world is in spiritual poverty. Let's make it our desire to tell the world of God's richness and this promise we have from God that they can possess as well, because it is free and in infinite supply.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for myself and my friends as we see the deception of riches and glory of the world that we realize we are far richer than the world because we are sealed with the Holy Spirit.  May it be our desire to tell the world of the richness and promise available to them from God, in Jesus name I Pray, Amen.
