"Corpsepyre - Acid burn: I've ever expected anyone from Pakistan to even
dream of actually being in a metal band. Looks like I was proven wrong. Corpsepyre
is another project from main contributor and mastermind Saquib Malik. Acid Burn
contains intense drum programming along with heavily distorted riffing and traces
of bass which seem hardly noticeable in this track. It has the 'in your face'
attitude being short and sweet. The intro and outro have been chosen well. Lets
not forget about the vocalist Hammad Khan who provides his sick ass brutal vocal
style almost sounding like a watered down Lord Worm, his screams rule!
Acid Burn has a sound that can date back from the late 80's till the early 90's
era of old school death metal, mixed with complete brutality and aggression
and lots of fast grind parts. Great stuff guys, cheers! The only thing that
needs improvement is the drum programming, it sounds alright but only if there
was a real drum kit. Yes a real drum player would make Acid Burn would sound
a hell of a lot better. The guitar riffs sound too prominent, thus giving the
'in your face' attitude as aforementioned. Keep up the grindingly good work!

Corpsepyre is Saquib, Hammad and Talal .Their stated aim is to play the most brutal, vile, twisted and sick music to ever come out of Lahore, Pakistan. The three songs on this demo surely fits their description and the vocals of Hammad Khan go a long way into achieving their stated aim. A very aggressive and raw demo much like Sifr's and the addition of the vocals make this a very interesting release and one that is worth checking out especially more so because of the band's rather unusual origin.

A self financed demo from a grind band from Pakistan. Among all the troubles the guys are going there they find the time and the will to play some music and try to create something original. Their death grind is of course super brutal nd the only problem I can find with it (keep in mind though that its a serious one) is the fact that one man plays all the instruments. He cant be perfect at everything and as a result the drums, especially, leave a lot to be desired. But the three songs of the demo showcase the talent of the band and I believe that with a normal band behind them, a better production and hard work theyll make it. If you want more info about the band all you have to do is check out their official web site at: www.corpsepyre.cjb.net

corpsepyre - demo
the sickest and heaviest demo out of pakistan...(and yes , i've heard hell-dormant..its
ten minutes long with three grinding trax....all with classic intro samples....the
music? aaahhh...its PURE FUKIN DEATH METAL!!! no slipknot influences here..primary
influence is the florida DM sound with slight swedish influneces....hammads
vox are utterly low and brutal......saqib plays lick after lick of smaktastic
riffs..the drum programming is very reasonable also....given a studio production
and some more time honing out the songs this duo could come out with an absolutely
killer album.
