It took a bit patience browsing through Craigslist, but we found our 20 year old inflatable Avon boat for just $250. A few patches later, it was as good as new! The 2 HP Honda doesn't make it the fastest boat on the river, and the home-made bimini (total cost was about $60, mostly because of the two D-Ring patches for the inflatable) makes it look as if it is a charter inflatable from the Senior Center.... but hey... why would we rush marina life? And comfort before style is our motto... and as older we get, the more comfortable we want to be! |
