Summer bug screen for hatch
This bug net for the main hatch was sewn together in less than 2 hrs. All it took was an ordinary bug net, cut out, then "framed" with (red) canvas fabric. For this I used Sunbrella, because I didn't have anything else on hand. This proved fine, as it is a stiff material and holds the net nicely in shape.. The whole lenght of the Sunbrella has Vecro sewn on it (white).

We have an permanent wooden hatch insert installed, with a slightly smaller acrylic "door" with handle, so the other Velcro is stuck to that wooden hatch insert. The insert is white and so is the stuck-on Velcro, which means, you almost cannot see the Velcro. .

What you see in the upper photo is the bug net not used, but stuck to the "ceiling" (with two small Velcro pieces). This way it is completely out of the way and you do not really notice it.
When in use, it is simply stuck to the wooden hatch insert. Works perfectly fine.
No bugs in our cabin!
