Salon to port
We installed a make-shift shelf above the port; but it is far from practical when under way. We have to empty the shelf when going cruising, otherwise everything would fly around. But with the boat tied to the dock with metal chains (no motor=no leaving the dock), the shelf is useful! (eventually we will enclose it.)

We deinstalled the pilot bunk to port and did add a foam-filled backing to the remaining bunk. The fabrics is vinyl in the back (where it touches the fiberglass), so that no moisture penetrates the fabrics and the foam stays dry.

Fiberglass can be very cold on touch and the backing gives a cosy  and warm feel.

The fan cools the fiberglass and ceramic backing around the heater.

On the floor you might notice a red board. This wooden board is wrapped with red carpet and does the job of letting our large, heavy and old dog enter and exit the boat.

No, we don't go sailing with these things on the shelves!
