The doomed Harris family's past is reportedly set to catch up with them in the New Year as a huge gun siege marks the end of two lives.

Caught up in the madness will be Craig, Angela, Tommy, Tracy, Ciaran and other Street favourites - and two won't make it out alive. Producers have said to 'expect the unexpected' with regard to who dies.

It marks the end of the Harris family on Coronation Street and the siege may have to be shown after the watershed. A publicity campaign is likely to begin speculating over 'Who Dies?' and several endings will be filmed with the outcome being kept under wraps.

This storyline is part of an explosive set of events aimed at boosting the soap including the exit of feisty Karen McDonald at Christmas and the snowy wedding of Ashley Peacock and Claire Casey.
