Ken Barlow:
Intelligent and wise, Ken is full of wisdom and has been living on Coronation Street since 1960. An ex-Teacher, he left teaching after hitting bad boy Ade Critchley in a lesson. Lives with wife Deirdre.

Deirdre Barlow (real name Racheid):
Deirdre, a gossip, likes to gossip in the Rovers with her friends and, while not married to Ken, is as good as. Had an affair in the 80s with Mike Baldwin and slept with Dev Alahan on Christmas Day in 2000. Ken has stuck with her throughout.

Tracy Barlow:
Tracy, a superbitch, has wrecked lives since reappearing in Christmas 2002. First, she slept with Steve McDonald and got pregnant. Then she date raped Roy Cropper and claimed the baby was his. The Croppers bought the baby off her, but she snatched it back and told Steve it was his on Christmas Day 2003. Ever since she's been a sworn enemy of Karen McDonald. Love interests have included Dev Alahan and Ciaran McCarthy.

Amy Barlow:
The most complicated baby in the world. Once called Patience, Amy was supposedly Roy and Hayley's baby. They had been led to believe that Roy had sex with Tracy. However, really, Tracy drugged Roy but didn't actually have sex with him - she just made out that was the case when Roy woke up to find her in his bed. What Roy didn't know was, the real baby's father was Steve McDonald. Tracy demanded to have Patience back and renamed her Amy - the Croppers were devastated. Tracy repaid the money. When Tracy announced, at Steve and Karen's wedding, that Steve was the father, all hell broke loose.
