Visitors can participate in activities noted with a (*) IF THEY WANT TO. During a regular meeting, some members have small roles to make the meeting go smoothly. These roles are described below:

PRESIDENT: begins with a SHORT, Business Meeting.

TOASTMASTER: will, at least, make a few opening comments, introduce the speakers & other participants, & call for reports.

TIMER: will monitor the time-used for “table-topics,” speeches, evaluations, & the time to start & end the meeting.

GRAMMARIAN: introduces a Word of the Day and asks for it to be used often during the meeting. He or she also evaluates use of grammar and helps eliminate audible pauses such as "um", "er", and "you-know".

TABLE-TOPICS MASTER: helps members "think on their feet" by posing questions at random. Response time: 30-60 seconds each.

* IT'S YOUR CHOICE if you wish to respond to a topic.

SPEAKERS: are introduced by the "Toastmaster of the Day". Normally, 3 speakers, 5 to 7 minutes each.

* YOU CAN HELP by writing your comments on the provided evaluation form.

GENERAL EVALUATOR: evaluates the speakers, the meeting, and often uses an ASSISTANT EVALUATOR.
