This is a pretty cool picture of the S of L with most of Manhattan in the background. The World Trade Center used to stand between the taller building with the pyramid on top towards the middle of the picture and the smaller of the two black building towards the right of the picture. The WTC was a little over twice the size of the building with the pyramid! You can see a little of the Empire State Building behind the pedastal of the S of L |

This piece of art is called "the sphere" and was originally located in the plaza of the WTC. It was recovered in the rubble and placed here in Battery Park. Ironically, the artist built this to represent world peace. |

This cross was one of the first things found once steel workers could get into the site a few days after 9-11. It is now mounted on a concrete pedastal at Ground Zero. |
