I was amazed to see this 3 island tanker from the road, as we passed Hamilton. It later turned out to be the Provmar Terminal II.
Built at Collingwood in 1948, as
Imperial Sarnia she traded in the Lakes, until recently, now being one of 2 vessels storing bunker fuel for the bunker tanker Hamilton Energy (built for Shell mex-BP as Partington). She is 4,947 grt and is 124m long- there is not many vessels like her around anymore!
This vessel is operated by Upper Lakes Group, under the name
Provmar Terminal II.
