| The Algoisle is seen in the harbour at Toronto on 13th March 2003. Photographed from the CN Tower. When I saw her I thought she was interesting, not only being old, and all aft and twin funnels, but it was not until I got home I found out how intersting she was! Built by Verolme, Cork (Ireland) as Silver Isle in 1963, she is 18,126 grt, although now she is operated by Algoma Marine and registered in St Catharines, Ontario. In the foreground is the cement carrier English River. |
