Well, had a good game last Tuesday. Hot day, sweaty, drippy hot day. But well worth the discomfort. Next game, and possibly the last game of the season, is TOMORROW! College is starting back up so we're losing some regulars, might be a bit too sparse after this, so come on out to the last game o' the year!

Haven't heard how Sunday was - were you there? Tell about it in the guestbook!

UGH, busy week at work, so I'm going to have to miss tomorrow's game too.

July 30th, 2003

Hot day yesterday. I whined on the field, and I'm gonna whine here - I'm outta shape, it was hot, and damn, I just couldn't run yesterday. Don't think I was the only one, thankfully.

We actually had a new face yesterday! Brad saw the article in the paper and stopped down. Sweet. Also saw a few who haven't been out in a while - Joel, keep comin; Josh, bring more people!

Sylvan hooked me up with a few great pics (nice cheeks, Sylvan) from Eric Wensel at The Leader. Check 'em out!

And, by popular demand, we're gonna be playing tomorrow, Thursday! Stop out!

July 28th, 2003

Great day Sunday - a nice wet field after some pre-game rain made for some great nice squishy turf. 3's plus a sub and a bumper, so everybody got the disc lots.

Another game tomorrow, Tuesday. Come on out!

July 27th, 2003

Sorry, I've been a bit lazy this week...there's a surprise, huh?

We had an awesome game on Tuesday. 5's and a sub, more than I thought would come with the impending rain - It poured for most of the game, turned the field into a slip n' slide and made laying out almost mandatory.

Oh, and CHECK IT OUT - Made the Leader today, nice pic. Here's the article! I'll have to see about getting more o' the pics...

July 22nd, 2003

Nasty storm last night should make for some nice soft ground to Get Horizontal on tonight. So come on out, play in the rain, tease the lightning!

July 16th, 2003

Wow, good time last night. We had a full field, 7's plus a few subs. We played a game to 15 that turned into a game to about 40 since nobody was really keeping score.

Two guys from The Leader stopped down, took some notes, shot some pics, and John even jumped in and played for a while! (sorry, camera guy, I'm forgetful - Eric, was it? ) So be on the lookout for an Ultimate Frisbee article, woohoo!

If anyone found this page because of the article - howdy! Stop down, check us out, jump right in. It's an easy game to learn but a hard one to give up.

July 14th, 2003

Well, think I might break down tonight and make some changes to, or at least try and finish up the incomplete parts of, this site. Motivating factor? A possible newspaper article on Ultimate in Corning. How cool, free publicity to draw in more fodder, er, players!

So yeah, come out on Tuesday...looks like we'll have some gorgeous weather, and this could be your chance for fortune and fame!

July 10th, 2003

C'mon, I was kidding, nobody got their ankle broken. It was just a really bad sprain. So quit being wussy and come out.

We had a good game of box on Tuesday, had 5 and a whole field of girl lacrosse players/spectators. Hot, humid day but it was fun.

July 7th, 2003

Yesterday - Injury on the field, not good. A broken ankle from a bad landing. But 'til then, we had a great game...

July 3rd, 2003

The haul 'til 5 o'clock on a day like today is interminable, so I've got to pass it somehow.

Something New!!! I figured I'd throw a guestbook up, see if it ever gets used. So if you're interested, Sign In! Or see what the other three people that actually visit this site had to say.

July 3rd, 2003

Tuesday a bust? Only a few people showed from what I heard, too bad. I think maybe we've had too many gorgeous days in a row and people are starting to take them for granted, like those damn Southerners do :P

Anyway, I think we can get a good crew together for Sunday, everybody's had a bit of a break and will have Saturday to recover from Friday's 4th of July binging and debauchery. So no excuses. See ya Sunday.

July 1st, 2003

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days. Sunday was great, lots of people, blah blah blah. Ok, actually I missed Sunday myself, so have no idea if anyone showed or not. Was a nice day for it though.

Today's another gorgeous day out, and Tuesdays seem to be a good day for people to make it, so hope a lot of people show. Unfortunately I'm going to, again, miss out - beh, this inactivity'll be the death of me.

Email me, let me know how it was, or if anyone's actually checking the site.

Had another good crowd and great game last night. We played on the field closer to the elementary school since some burgeoning female lacrosse players were on the close field. No biggie, still had plenty of room for 7 on 7 with several subs. Some of the 'old crew' (by old I mean seniority, of course) is out - Rich, Brett, Rob, Al, and Sean (sorry if I missed anyone, it's still pre-noon for me) - it'd be great to see more. But it's definitely good playing with a full field, and the young guys never seem to get tired (damn them!), so I hope we can keep this a regular thing throughout the summer.

It looks like we'll make Tuesday at 6 a constant day o' play. We'll try hitting on a good second day and I'll post that too. Any day preferable? Thursday? Sunday? Let me know.

June 23rd, 2003

Last Tuesday was crazy. Stadium-play and artificial turf is definitely different, and we checked it out for a while 'til we got booted by someone with authority. Apparently, even though the signs don't say so, the 'public use' part of the stadium only pertains to the track. But we had gotten a few points in on the soft squishy stuff and maybe we can do it again after a few calls or letters.

We moved to the back of East High and picked back up. Played 7's with subs, probably had over 20 people in and out of the game that night. Sure beats box. Maybe we'll get more o' the same tomorrow...

June 16th, 2003

Umm...yeah. So I'm back. Anybody out there?

I got a few emails from guys home from college looking for pick-up during the summer. They were serious. So since I'm a lazy sack, they got their own game going. I joined 'em last Tuesday up at CCC and owww, I'm still sore. A good sore though - it's great to play again. So I tried my luck again Sunday. Rich made it out too! Now I'm hoping some of you'll come back out and check out the NEW, IMPROVED, ULTIMATE 2003! I'll try keeping it semi-regular. What days/times are good? Who wishes they knew where I lived so they could beat me senseless with Shaq's shoehorn? Speak up!
