your fucking pathetic scott. you were like dear god was pro studio quality, but it sucks now that i have realized how truely useless you all are.i didn't take any pride in korkscrew, hence me quitting. and i really did put in 0 effort and time recording dear god, since i wasn't getting paid and ur not worth my time. lord knows the recordings YOU did without me were so much better. and i don't call myself an engineer, i am a guitar player, bass player, singer and drummer, recording is just something something i have to do because, ya know, i can do everying myself. lol. best band in the world my ass, you can't even getta gig that pays money, and you don't have a single fan that wasn't friends with a band member to start with.

Happy Birthday to the best fucking country in the world. Tomorrow is gonna be a kick ass day, hopefully we'll run into some familiar faces tomorrow in the big 'ol town of Hantsport. Hopefully jUs and I will get some tracks laid down with John Hughes tomorrow. Excellent songs and mixes too, can't wait to finally start our album. Soon people will be able to listen to a Korkscrew CD with integrity, something that sounds as good as we do live. With all of the inexperienced jackasses around, calling themselves "recording engineers", it's good to know our next album won't be recorded by another inexperienced "valley engineer". It's hard to believe that someone would tag their name to an engineering disaster, and not take pride in the band's sound, especially when they're in the band. I can't predict the future, but I do know that Korkscrew's performance as far as music goes, will be our best yet. The more we play shows and practise together, the better we get. We've been writing some intricately designed songs which will appear on our first studio record. The current roster of Korkscrew is the best combination to date. The complexities and degree of difficulty involved in playing our newer songs opens up a whole new world of musical creativity. For now we're focussing more on getting better as a band, recording a cd, then taking over the world, lol, the taking over the world part was a joke, but ya never know. We may smash a few guitars along the way, but once we start making a little bit of money playing shows, etc., you'll see a lot more bargain bin guitar smashing. But for now, we're focussing on becoming better, tighter, writing much more difficult material as a band, so we can deliver our music at the best it can be, to you, the listeners. We put out a demo, which is good, but our next recording is going miles beyond anything we've done before in recording. We're writing much more difficult material and it's been great because we can finally show everone what Korkscrew sounds like, don't get me wrong, our demo and older songs are good, but our new CD...heh....here's what our new CD will be like.
Our new CD will have lots of previously unreleased original material. It'll also feature a few new re-recorded versions of some songs from the Conception disk, they'll sound phenomenal with John Hughes at the mixing board. John's engineering, mixing and mastering our new album, from start to finish. John will be able to capture Korkscrew's sound like no one before, the way it should be heard, a fully produced album with our roots and influences firmly intact. See ya'll at Kingstec :) - Scott

When you come off the highway by the Irving Big Stop in New Minas, go straight down the hill to the set of lights (don't go on the street the big stop is on). At the lights you can go left into Kentville, or right, into downtown (commercial st.) New Minas (toward the Ultramar & MusicStop), or straight ahead. At the lights you'll want to go straight ahead, cross the bridge, go up the hill to another set of lights. At this set of lights you can go left toward kingstec, right towards port Williams (wrong way) or straght ahead towards Centerville (also the wrong way). Go left at these lights. After about a 2 minute walk you'll find a vetranarian/animal hospital on the left hand side, just a bit further ahead on the right hand side is Kingstec, it looks like a school, pretty hard to miss, but just in case, there's a big sign out front that says Kingstec. If you walk past a big wooden sign that says "Welcome to Kentville" you've gone too far.
Copy and print these directions off on your computer so you don't forget or get lost. If we see you hikin, we'll pick you up. L8r man, peace.

Yeah! Korkscrew stole the whole damn show!!!!
You guys once again kicked uber-ass!!!!
The first couple of bands were ok, but everyone was just standing around. Then once Malign hit the stage, it was like people finally realised, "Hey... there actually is good music here" and then an attempt of a mosh pit started, and although Malign was good. It wasn't until Korkscrew started off their set with "Drowning" that the people started going crazy!!!! It was awesome!!!! At one point I was on the stage filming the mosh pit, and the people were so into the music, man!!!! There were people being thrown around, and trampled over, and loving it!!!! Of course, I also got close-ups of the band. Some good shots of Scott screaming and Devin jamming on his bass, plus some of Vince beating the hell out of his drum kit. But all I could get of jUs was his back 'cause he was facing the wrong way.
Then once Korkscrew stopped, the show was allredy over... Speedbump had no chance to redeem themselves after that shit... So I jumped on the stage again, while they were playing, and screamed Korkscrew, and the people looked at me, so I held up a demo and they screamed! And when I threw it, they were hunting eachother down trying to get it!! It was great!!!! You guys ROCK!!!! 'Til next time...

Ok, so there have been a lot of comments in regards of my dedication to this band. Yes, I did ditch a show. I just really felt that we weren't ready to play and when I voiced my opinion it wasn't heard. That's fine now. Everything is worked out. We talked about all the issues we had with one another and I'm back for good. I've been listening to the demo all week and have the confidence in the band and myself to make Rockfest the best damn show that we have ever played. After that??? A new demo with my drum tracks on it! ;) I truly resent the comments posted from John Longley. I never missed practices with seventh sign, in fact there were many of them that were at my house. How many were at your place John? ONE! FIVE YEARS AND ONE FUCKING PRACTICE! And the topic of financial dedication? For the longest time I ws the only one in seventh sign with a car, I drove the band and gear everywhere. I had a truck with a cap. Now keep in mind that after you pay insurance, gas, and all the other wonderful expenses that come along with driving there's not much money left working part time at a dinning hall! John, your problem was that you never realized that there are other ways in which a band member can contribute, and driving to EVERY show and making several trips for gear can get expensive. Plus I won't even get into how you screwed me over for rent when we lived together and you didn't even try to find a job.
