| Trudy is my newest rabbit, a beautiful New Zeland White doe who is already getting huge. My friend and I went to a feed store, saw some -Trudy's two brothers and her- with a sign that read "meat rabbits" on the front of their cage. We couldn't bear the thought of the little bunnies being eaten (go figure - we're both vegetarians), so we bought all three. My friend took the bucks that she later named Howie and Ed. I wanted the little doe, and immediately fell in love with her the first time I held her. Though it was my friend's idea, she will sell hers to good pet homes because she can't keep too many extra rabbits; we just wanted to save some lives. However, Trudy will always have a place in my home and my heart. These three will hopefully have much brighter futures now. |
