| I got Kai and Peppers (Cayenne Peppers) the Cockatiels in 1998 from a friend of my dad. Kai is the mother of all cockatiel chicks that have hatched here. She was the biggest and softest bird we had. She and Stuart have produced about fifteen chicks since they first met a few years ago. Kai died on Friday, February 8th, 2002, the day after I took her last clutch out of the nest to handfeed. She died of a broken neck, and quite possibly a broken heart. I love Kai, and Stuart and I miss her greatly. |
