| Information about the race. Welsh Corgis are ennobled to tend cows and sheeps. Pemrokes and Cardigans, are allmost the oldest dograces, in Brittain. Pembrokes came to Finland, early in the sixties, and the first Cardigan came in year 1971. Nowdays , in one year, there are registered about 4 hundred Pembrokes and about 1 hundred Cardigans.. Both of the races, are available around the year, but the puppies are very fast "adopted"... If the family wants a hobby-dog, who wont give up easy, is corgi the right option. Usually Pembrokes are more spirited, than Cardigans. You can have a stable and faithfull dog,from corgi, because its tnding-instinct, energy, brightnes, and strong-will. Because Corgis are meant for many kinds of dutys, it also havesa duty of Guarding. So if a family owns a Corgi, they wont have any movements in the yard, bacause Corgi has allrady heard him, and started barking. Pembrokes usually are a bit wellformed and smaller than Cardigans.Pemrokes weigt is about 9 to 15 kilos, and Cardigans about 10 to 20 kilos.Before the new law in Finland,1996, Corgis had bobbed tails. Nowdays thats forbidden in law. You can see after year 1996 borns, with bobtail, but they are from abroad or they have born with a bobtail. Corgis coat is kind of a coretex. It stands rain and cold.
