Where did we come from?

Some people question were we come from, yet so many don't even want to care anymore.  Still, we all need to know the Answer.  So, we seek and we find.  But there is truth, and there are lies.  The truth is simple and pure, the lies are complex and confusing.  There is One Truth.  There are many lies.

Long ago, a scientist named Charles Darwin theorized that one species could evolve into another.  Today, his theory is taught as fact, and accepted by a world filled with many facts, all searching for One Truth.  Long ago, a famous scientist wrote that for one species to evolve into another, there would be millions of transitional forms, otherwise evolution, as a scientific theory, would have to be dismissed.  Yet, today scientists still have barely found anything to even pass off as a transitional form.  There are so far below millions that a single theorized transitional form is considered the find of all time.  Yet, the obvious is ignored.  This same famous scientist stated that to think something like "the human eye could evolve by chance, without an intelligent Creator, is ludicrous."  Today, scientists would call these views "ignorant" or "unenlightened".  So, who was this famous scientist?  He was none other than Charles Darwin himself.

Where did we come from?  We came from God, our Creator; we came from Love.  God loves us dearly, for we are His children.  You are not alone in this world that wants to "make a monkey out of you".  Love is with us.  God is with us.  It is the simple truth as beautiful and yet mysterious as the power of prayer.  Pray and your eyes will be opened, and the Spirit of God, which moves pen to paper, leaves to the sky, will dwell within you... You are not alone...

Why are we here?

Many people go through this life as drones, never wondering why they are here.  Others make up their own purpose on earth, which typically amounts to self gratification.  Still others search for why they are here, and some actually know why.

The people of this world feel alone.  Whether they are in a crowd or by themselves, they are isolated, alone.  People try anything to rid themselves of the intense burning that loneliness puts upon their souls.  They try to get physically closer to people, but no matter how close they come, they still feel alone.  One day they finally realize that the loneliness they feel is not physical, but spiritual.

Every child on earth is born with a purpose, and we all know, almost instinctively, the Answer.  The world is a noisy place, filled with deafening silence, but through it all, there is a voice... The voice of God, our Creator, whom we have known since our first moments of life.  It beckons us on the wind, it soothes us in the waves, and it calls... "God is Love."  Why are we here?  We are here to serve God; we are here to love.  We all have that knowledge and that desire contained within our hearts, our souls, yet this world tears us away...  So, we call "love" many things.  We call it things that can be lost or broken.  We sing about it, we write about it, we search in vain for it, but true love is a gift.  All true love comes from God.  It isn't earned.  It is given.  We feel love when we show love.  The love we give is the love we gain.  We are called to love one another, with the unselfish love of God Himself in Jesus Christ...

"And I asked, Lord, how much do you love me? as he spread his arms and died for me..."

Deep inside, we all know why we are here... to live love....

How do we live?

Yesterday, I was in a store when a boy about a year younger than me walked in without a shirt on.  He had a dark tan and sun-blonded hair from long days or riding his bike out in the sun.  When I saw him, I could hardly breath or control my emotions.  I was shocked at his form.  I found any excuse to wander around and catch a glimpse of him, like glancing at the sun.  As I tried to be inconspicuous, I carefully examined his body, all the while wishing it were my own.  Yet, the closer I came and the more I saw, the more I began to see the same imperfections that exist in me...

Even at 16, there are so few boys my age who have not lost those qualities of youth that attract me.  Beyond my own age has long seemed no longer attractive, even when my age was 14.  What attracts me is youth.  I see in younger boys the simple beauty of youth and innocence, that I want to see in myself.  I am not alone...

Why do we crave this?  We want to be pure, beautiful, and innocent with the exact same passion that we want to be loved.  We want to be clean, holy, and blameless; a child...  Yet, we search this earth and we catch glimpses of it on the surface, but we get closer and look harder and find the flaws of a world that has lost it's innocence.  The shade of a tan is not smooth or perfect...

Long ago, an innocent child was born; a perfect child.  He was the Son of God and He was God.  Our Creator lived as one of us, walked this road, felt our pain, and died so that we could live.  We are not perfect, but we are born with the craving to be.  We want to be like Jesus.  We want to be pure, blameless, and innocent.  We have had that need since our first breath of life.  God masterfully wove us after His own image, the image of Love, the image of His Son.

"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

We have a need for God, for Jesus, for the His Spirit to fill us; to dwell within us, refine us, and make us innocent.  Jesus is our model, to live the life we have needed to live for so long.  jesus is our savior, to give the life we deeded to Him for eternity.  Jesus said "Love one another"...

What is the meaning of life?

I've seen birds flying overheard, butterflies fluttering around me.  They are so beautiful... Being out in nature, you almost forget the struggle of life.  You forget that the birds are scavenging for food to survive, quickly taking flight when threatened.  You forget that the butterflies will shortly die, and you wonder, do they forget too?

We're all philosophers to some extent, but sometimes we make life's questions so hard to answer, that we give up.  Deep inside us all, we know the Answer...

Time is an arrow, pointing to the future, where entropy lies.  We leave things alone, and over time they fall apart, they decay and die.  This life is made up of time.  Entropy exists in the world because of sin.  Entropy is the physically visible effects of sin.  yet, more than the death of the body is the spiritual death that comes from sin.  We aren't perfect... "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"  Yet, God made us and He can remake us, giving us new life through Jesus Christ.  Sin binds the world, but Jesus frees it.  We can all be free from the chains of this life, for outside of sin, outside the limits of a timeline created by entropy, there is eternity.  God loves you and He wants you to be with Him forever, but the choice is yours, for love cannot be earned; it must be given freely.  We don't deserve the love God has for us, but it is a gift...

The Answer is Jesus Christ.  The meaning of this life is Jesus Christ.  For this life is simply a doorway of freewill to an awaiting eternity.  Here is where we choose...

If you would like to open your heart to Jesus and the life God has for you, in His purpose, even if you are already a Christian, pray this prayer with me...

Dear Jesus... Thank you so much for loving me even when I don't deserve You at all.  Lord, come into my life, change me, break me, make me new, make me whole... forgive me.  Purify my heart and make me innocent in You.  Jesus I believe You died on the cross and rose again three days later.  You are my Savior and one day I will live with You in eternity.  Yet, in this world, help me to stand for You, to shine for You, to make a difference and to let Your truth and love be known.  Please use me Lord, Holy Spirit fill me to overflowing.  I love You so much!  Thank you so much for loving me.  In Jesus Name, Amen...
