"Hello to all my fans ... I would like to thank you for all the beautiful birthday messages that I just read on shitontheradio.com. They were truly touching, and the words that you wrote were full of love. What touched my heart the most is that there were posts from all around the world, even in countries that I have not yet visited . I am proud of my international fan base....From the USA to Ireland to Israel to Indonesia to South Africa, To New Zealand and back again, you are all united when you listen to my music. What a way to bring in my 24th year. Thank you very much.
On another note, thanks to Chin Ingeti, Shankhini, and Dean Jarvis for performing with me at the Stanley Theatre in Vancouver on December 1st. If you would like some information on the event that I participated in, see www.davidsuzuki.org It was a charity event for the David Suzuki Foundation. The purpose was to spread awareness about how interconnected we are in on this planet. We are unified by our use of natural resources. I think I waste a lot of resources. I drive an SUV, and I am now thinking about trading it in for a station wagon, because it uses less gas. I recycle, but not that often. I will try to recycle more. I signed up for the 'Nature Challenge' (see website). I learnt a lot. I feel that we are on this planet to learn. It is never too late to learn something new. Cool!!
On another note, I am recording my new album. Thanks for being patient. I am trying to make sure that I work just as hard on this album as I did on the first one. In today's musical climate, the trend is to pump out an album really quickly. I will try my best to not keep my fans waiting too long, but I will not sacrifice quality. Right now, things are sounding pretty good with the album, but it is just a start.
On another note, buy the album by the Roots, called Phrenology. If I could give it a money-back guarantee , I would. Spend the twenty dollars. You will feel good about it. This is not because of bias. (I am on the album). It is music. Period.
