With Melton, you will not sit long waiting on a load - most

dispatches are given approximately 15 minutes (if not sooner) once you deliver

your last load. Unless you're out of hours, or some other rare/strange

circumstance.

Detention Pay - Customer gets 3 hours from appointment time, or from when

you arrive, to unload or load you. If you are late you get no detention pay.

Detention is usual not an issue, as customers are very good about loading

and unloading on time. Getting loaded in a flatbed takes considerably

less time than waiting at a dock to get a VAN loaded.

Flatbeds are easy to load, which allows for quick in and out unloading and

loading!

Melton uses Trip-Pak - with Trip-Pak boxes at almost all truck stops!

Great reimbursements!

Showers are refundable, if you have to pay for them or you do not have the

points to cover them - just send in the receipts. This includes purchases for

securement, if  the load calls for something special (rare) scale tickets, tolls are

also all fully covered or reimburseable.

Melton pays for tolls and all trucks are equipped with EZ-PASS, Oklahoma Pike

Pass, Ohio toll-card as well.  Prepass is also available upon request.

Truck-washes are paid for by Melton, and you are allowed 2-3 per month at blue-

beacon truck washes! Tulsa terminal has onsite truck wash.

New 2006-2007 trucks

Melton currently runs 2006-2007 Kenworths + Freightliners

The trailers are very nice 48' trailers, most with new LED lights!

Trucks are roomy, with the "aerocab" sleeper design on Kenworths +

Studio sleeper designs in the Freightliners.

All trucks include headache-racks, straps, chains, EZ-Pass, Quailcom

Satellite Systems, XM equipped radios, and a shiny blue Melton paint job.

Home-Time

Melton requires you to be out for at least 2 weeks at a time - and gives you

2 full days of home-time for those 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, you earn (1) day

for each additional work week spent out on the road.

Dispatch System

Melton has a unique “on-board” dispatch system that dispatches loads not only by

a drivers current location, but their “place in-line” on the driver dispatch board.

Drivers send in an “on-board” request via QuailCom once they are ready to

be placed into “on-board” status - this is usually done after a driver delivers

their load to the consignee .  Once on-board, each driver will receive their

next dispatch based on location, and their place on the driver dispatch board.

What We Haul

Melton drivers haul it all, and use their vast knowledge of load securement to safely

transport customers cargo to its destination (safely and on-time)  Types of loads include,

but are not limited to: Lumber, Steel, Piping, Machinery, Metal, Steel coils, Aluminum.
