so... guess what.  it is now july 18th.  that means it is my anniversary.  on saturday, july 18, 1987, i started my first movie theatre job at the main theatre in royal oak.  yes... thats right... i have been working in movie theatres for 19 years as of today!  hooray!

its quite a life to look back on.  there are countless memories, a hundred good friends, thousands of movies and well... 19 years of my life.  right now thats more than half my life and for many of my younger friends...  longer than theyve been alive!  weird.

when i started my job at the main, we were showing jaws: the revenge in theatre 1 and a matinee of benji the hunted (the most devastating movie ever made) and evening shows of dragnet in theatre 2.  my memories of that time are clearer than most of 1985 and most of the 90's.  assuming that the 90's ever really happened, of course.  i still think its all a lie.  implanted memories of a false life like in total recall. 

when i wake up i expect it to be 1985 and all this nonsense since has been a hallucination.

i cant handle anything remotely suggesting reality... i'mjust going to assume i'm dreaming and its really still 1985.  please play along... i really cant handle reality right now.
