today was a stupid thursday.  whatever.

so there's this song.  called jump in the river.  by sinead o'connor.  but there's a very special version of it where performance artist karen finley adds her own special "art" to the song.  its a rare version i doubt anyone i havent personally played it for has ever heard.  but it is the most wonderful thing you could ever possibly hear.  maybe you can find it on kazaa or limewire or whatever illegal filesharing program you use.  i cant share it because being a long song, the file is too big for me to post here.

anyway... tonight at work i got to share quotes with dorothy, since i loaned it to her and she fell in love with it and memorized it awreddy.  it was fun and there are soooo many wonderful quotable lines.  its really just pure poetry.

i also played it twice for my co-manager jeremy and he instantly said it was the greatest thing he'd ever heard in his life.

sharing music with people, bringing new music (or performance art) to people who may have otherwise never heard of it... thats something wonderful and special.   you really must find this wonderful song.  if for nothing else, the part about pulling oiled, knotted scarves out of her ass... you will be truly moved.
