so... call me crazy... but watching the musical numbers from tonight's tony broadcast... yes, alan and cyndi might have sent a chill up my spine and patti definitely made me want another martini... but the only moment that brought tears to my eyes and literally gave me chills was the piece from the color purple...  i thought it would be a big joke, but god i want to see that now!  and having oprah introduce it by repeating her infamous line "you tole harpo to beat me!" was ingenious!!!  yes, i'm gay and i love broadway musicals.  deal with it.  god knows i hafta hear enuf boring shit about the pistons and the red wings!  good gay lord, its not like its something important like a movie or a broadway musical!  its just sports!  get over it!

in other news... a number of old friends from the era i refer to as 1985 have resurfaced and even reconnected with me on myspace.  how odd...  i dont even know how to begin to deal with this.  pour me a martini, sweetie.

in other news... season 2 of the dead zone is proving to be actually moderately interesting.  how pleasant.

oh, did i mention that i'm going to see wicked, the greatest musical ever, on tuesday?  i cant fucking wait!  it will be awesome beyond words.
