2. Four slides in 1-5/8x4 mounts may be entered. Images may be monochrome or color and must have been made by the entrant. Any manipulation must be made by the exhibitor. Copies of images made by others, including antique stereo cards, are not eligible, nor are slides previously accepted in the Cordova Exhibition. Computer generated images are not eligible.

3. Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright.

4. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. All final work must be on photographic film or on electronic file, or on photographic or electronic print material, mounting excepted.

6. Slides will be judged by projection with 750-watt lamps. An entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging. Slides too thick to be projected will not be judged. Slides must have the maker's name and a title and be spotted in the lower left corner when held in viewing position. The committee will replace broken glass. Care will be taken with slides, but no responsibility is assumed for loss or damage during the Exhibition or in transit.

7. The PSA Medal for Best Creative will be given for the slide that best depicts a concept that stimulates the mind of the viewer to interpret the message conveyed through the creative use of line, form and color. Entrant may identify ‘creative’ slides by checking the ‘C’ column. Selectors may also consider slides not so marked. The Selective Focus Award will be given to the slide which best utilizes soft focus. Each selector will award one additional Cordova Trophy for an exceptional slide of his choice.

8. Accepted slides and cards will be credited to exhibitors in the catalog, PSA Who's Who, and for Star Rating.

9. United States and Canadian entries will be returned by first class mail. All other entries will be returned by small packet Air Mail. Slides will be forwarded to other exhibitions if accompanied by a filled-out shipping label.

10. The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions. Submitting an entry implies acceptance of all conditions. The Exhibition will be conducted according to the practices recommended by the Photographic Society of America.
