Greg was born in Plano, Texas. He has two brothers and a sister named Julie. He studied Anthropology at Brown University, graduating in 1999. Greg travels the world and he has lived in Ridgewood, New Jersey; Providence,Rhode Island; Boulder,Colorado; Santa Barbara, California and Australia.
Greg has also had many jobs, including boat mechanic, survival skills program director, a stone mason and a restuarant manager. (Hey I guess that's how he learnt how to make that rat trap!)
His favourite colour is green and his favourite smell is the smell of a pine forest. Greg describes himself as hardworking, dedicated and energetic. He brought a frisbee as his luxury item. He says his perfect day would entail stalking a wild animal slowly and quietly enough to suprise it by touching it.
While on the island, Greg entertained the other castaways with his antics. His "Nature Phone" was just one of the few crazy things he did, and it seemed he was entertaining himself along with the others.
