Darknight with his Knight Industries Millennium, or KIM.
Here are some views of my first design of the engine's combustor.  This is only a very early experiment in the self-sustained ignition of a flammable fluid mixed with air under pressure.  Basically, this is an electric jet engine, since the source of moving air is an electric compressor at the mouth of the combustor.  The flame appears completely orange to the camera because the pale blue portion didn't show up in the daylight very well, and the main flame kernel is inside the casing anyway.  The only purpose of this device is to provide the pressure to drive my unique version of a turbine.  The turbine design is the essential part, and what seperates my engine from all other gas turbine engines.
First peeks at Darknight's new engine design experiment.
To the most dependable, underappreciated cars ever manufactured, the Oldsmobile.
Fairwell, old friend.  The first American car company, the first mass produced car - the first high compression V8 - the first front wheel drive, and my first car.  Why America gave up on Oldsmobile, I'll never know.  It hasn't given up on me.  My 1988 Delta 88 Royale Brougham marches on, all 4,000 pounds and 316,000 miles worth of her.  Some say Oldsmobile was boring.  Others say they were junk.  An interesting fact to note is that most who say that never owned one.  The younger generation saw no benefit in driving something akin to their parents' vehicles.
I suppose that 250hp, and 260ft/lbs of torque from a 4.0 32 valve Indy Car engine such as in the above '99 Aurora just can't compare to the likes of Honda Civics, and Nissan Xterras.  A frame which broke the pressure testing equipment for vehicles in its class can never stand against the safety and substance of the Dodge Neon, or the Mitsubishi Eclipse.  A beautiful tan leather interior, and more options than you can ever really use, for thousands less than a Lexus doesn't make economic sense.  The Flagship of Oldsmobile's Renaissance has sank, bringing down the rest along with it.  The Intrigue, a smart, sporty and affordable car dies an unnecessary death.  The Alero...closest thing to a compact car ever put forth by Olds, and darn cute in my opinion - dead before it even came close to automotive puberty.  I just don't understand it.  Why is it that the same public which rejects the most practical cars on the grounds that they're too boring also rejects the most exciting cars(F-bodies) on the grounds that they're not practical enough?  I do not understand what this public wants, unless it's more and more SUV's, in which case I would as soon ride a bicycle.  Oldsmobile, I'm sorry.  It's not your fault.
Supercharged L67 3800 Series II, a beast of an engine.  240hp, 280ft/lbs of torque.

Presenting...the
Knight Industries 3000
My main goal in designing  KITT's new body was to basically update the classic aggressive personality of KITT's styling into a more modern design.  I feel that I have done just that with this design.  Here I have only added an extra pair of lights on the bottom, a scanner and cowl induction(along with a few secret adjustments.)
For KITT's rear I wanted something wide and low, with a straight spoiler, rather than the wraparound style on the later Trans Ams.  I designed the taillights to resemble that of the second generation Firebirds a la Smokey and the Bandit.  I don't think I took it too far, though.  Somehow this rear end reminds me of Firebirds, Vipers, 'Vettes, and a few others all mixed together.  It is a representation of the All-American muscle car.
