Mission Statement

How will I use the power which lies between the letters of life?

Throughout this day and every other day after it, I am and will continue to become an independant, respected, and innovative advocate, treacher, learner, and friend who lives an artful life

When I am gone, I would like to have it said of me that peopple truly learned something from my triumphs, struggles, and mistakes.  I would like to have served others, especially those for whom I saw a bit of myself.  I would like to return the generosity upon those who helped me make myself.

I will have savored the experiences and emotions of love, friendship, gratitude, sacrifice, humility, and joy

I will have enjoyed those objects and ideas which people most often take for granted , and,  because I have seen

them as anything but ordinary, I will have made them into art

I will have experienced different cultures of the world, learning from others and spreading the knowledge

and insight I have aquired along the paths of my own life

I will have chronicled all of my life's experiences and emotions through music, painting, photography,

sketchings, and in my own written word

I want to be remembered.
I want to be a mystery.
I do not necessarily want to be remembered for being mysterious.

I do want to be remembered

For having an impact;

For having been taken seriously for the wisdom and insight I possess

rather than have been penalized for those

things which I do not know well

For having a deep passion for every single thing that i did, from my
      greatest undertakings to the seemingly insignificant hassles of
      everyday life.
For having justified the pain I've survived, not only by being strong
       through my aching, but by making and spreading more than
       enough joy to outweigh the memory of my struggle.
For continuously striving for something bigger
                         inbetween the letters
                         of that mysterious
                         little word
                         we call
                         "life."

Because the art of life always lies between its l e t t e r s,
       In the unspoken words for emotions which have none;
       In the silences of the music;
       In not knowing what will come next

While having just enough power to influence what will.
