BREEDER PROFILE
CH Cottoncove Moonlite Breeze of Smithvale - Blue
& CH Cottoncove Sea Breeze of Smithvale - Sandy
My name is Corinne Smith and my husband is Andrew.  We have two children - Kyle, born on
13 May 1999 and Jessica, born on 9 July 2001.  We were previously from
SOUTH AFRICA but emigrated to NEW ZEALAND on 19 October 2002.

Together Andrew and I have been involved in Whippets since January 1995, but Andrew literally grew up with Whippets since his parents run one of the top South African Whippet Kennels Smithvale (for over 20 years).  It was therefore inevitable that I would become involved in the showing scene.

It is with thanks to the kennels Smithvale and Cottoncove that Corandy Whippets is what it is today.  We have only just bred our first Corandy litter in August 1999.  Our previous litter was under the Smithvale kennel, as our first two girls were not registered in our kennel name.   We have some of the top South African Whippets in our bloodline as well as a number of top English bloodlines (Oakbark, Savilepark, Cottonmere, Dumbriton, Birkonbrae and Hillsdown).  We hope to continue breeding sound, quality Whippets to the English Breed Standard.  Only breeding to better the breed.

Corandy Whippets began with our first whippet Sandy (CH Cottoncove Sea Breeze of Smithvale).  We were head over heels in love with our little brindle bundle of joy.  Her mother was an English import
CH Savilepark Soft Breeze of Cottoncove (imported by Cottoncove) and Sire CH Smithvale Venture of Merlanjo.  About a month later her litter sister joined us Blue (CH Cottoncove Moonlite Breeze of Smithvale).  Both girls are SA Champions and as they are first and foremost our companions and bed warmers, we only bred one litter from Blue (our foundation bitch) and spayed both of them.  They hated being restricted from the bed when in season (and we missed them).  The two of them rule the house.  They sleep in the bed, eat on the bed and do exactly what they like, when they like.  They are the real owners" of the house and we love them to bits.  They have a very special place in our hearts.
