Red-bellied WoodpeckerThis is my favorite visitor at my feeders. Other favorites include Tufted Titmice, Carolina Chickadees and White and Red-breasted Nuthatches. |
Public Enemy #1Where there are feeders there will be squirrels. This fine specimen has probably robbed me blind by now yet he still maintains his innocent look. Amazing! |

What are you lookin' at! |
Death from above. |
| Taken in my Mom's yard, this American Robin was a real ham. It seemed as if it enjoyed posing for me! | We were on our way out to breakfast this past Sunday, when I saw this hawk perched on a tree not too far from the side of the road. I was driving and pointed it out to Russell, who grabbed the camera. The fates smiled on us because I was able to safely pull off the road, and he was able to get a couple of shots before traffic caught up with us. The hawk took off just before we pulled away, but we couldn't get a picture of it in flight. |

Has anyone seen my rat? |
He's got murder on his mind |
| I found this guy lookin' for lunch down on the shores of the Great Miami River. As you can see he gave me a great photo op even as he flew away. | A better shot, less obscured by trees. By this time I am the obect of very intense scrutiny. |

Rodent Retrieval in Progress |
A Group of Grebes |
| As he took off he flew right over my head. Since I already had the camera ready. I managed to get a couple of shots off before he was gone. | The river was loaded with these horned grebes that day. You can only see a few here, but there were at least seven or eight. |
