Right off the top of my head ...

Welcome to my soapbox!!! This is my own editorial page. It's here, that I hope to sound-off about things that I find important.

"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it any more..."

Things that really honk me off:

• The irresponsible use of personal watercraft, and the detrimental effect it has on our natural resouces and wildlife. The fact that there are no regulations and no license requirements for using personal watercraft really makes me angry. Additionally, the people who use personal watercraft in this idiotic way are also incondiderate of other boaters and fisherman. Something has got to be done about this. If you're interested about these heinous acts, mail me, and we'll chat further.

• It may seem strange to take a picture of litter, but I was out one day birding when I saw this cup lying in the grass. One of my biggest gripes is Litterbugs, so I took this picture to illustrate my point. All litter is evil and anyone who litters is an idiot. I really get steamed when I'm at either a state park, metro park or any type of wildlife refuge or preserve and come across litter. It would seem that anyone visiting this type of reserve would be environmentally aware as well as responsible. I just don't get it.

• I cannot stand the way people are butchering trees these days. I realize that it is necessary to trim trees from time to time, but the mutilation I see is disgusting!
• Bad Manners seem to have become a way of life lately. What happened to common courtesy as well as common decency? People seem to be so self absorbed, that they have little thought for anyone or anything else around them. We all need to slow down, take a deep breath, smell the roses and listen to birdsong, and most importantly, treat each other with kindess and respect.
• Fast Food Drive-thrus- because they rarely get orders right!
• My husband's back seat driving, and even worse, the fact that he's usually right!
• Mean spirited people
• Telephone solicitation
