This is what I do for fun!

I love the outdoors!!!

As if you didn't already know. Any weekend when the weather is nice, and I'm not bird watching, you'll find me camping, fishing, or walking about gawking at all that nature has to offer. On this page, you will find pictures and information about my outdoor adventures and maybe some of the equipment I use to get me there.

"Hurry up Harley, we gotta go!!!"

First, the on-going argument:

Russell and I cannot agree on what to call our Explorer. He thinks it's ridiculous to name it at all, and insists that if it has to have name, it would have to be the "Little Stuff Mobile". I say it should be the "Green Heron". What do you think?

We have a Coleman Folding Trailer by Fleetwood RV

I tried tent camping a couple of times but just couldn't hack it. I am an uptown girl after all, and I have a pampered image to protect. My husband insisted on canvas, but this is what I managed to talk him into. It's a Taos from Coleman's Destiny series. It has two double beds and a VERY spacious dinette. It`s not a castle but it's plenty of room for the two of us to live in comfortably.

Some of my recent camping exploits:

We camped at Malabar Farm State Farm in early March, 1998. The park is near Lucas, Ohio, a few miles from Mansfield. Their annual Maple Sugaring Festival was taking place, which was quite fun, as well as informative. Malabar Farm was once the estate of Pulitizer Prize winning author Louis Bromfield. Several of Mr. Bromfield's books were made into movies. Several of Hollywood's biggest stars were guests at the farm during the 30s and 40s. In fact, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married at Malabar Farm in May of 1945. Tours of Mr. Bromfield's home are available for a nominal fee.
